23rd Annual Meeting of the German Finance Association (DGF)

University of Bonn
September 30 and October 01, 2016

We invite researchers and practitioners to participate in the conference of the German Finance Association at the University of Bonn, September 30 and October 01, 2016. A doctoral workshop will take place on September 29.

The goal of the conference is to bring together researchers and practitioners to discuss the latest theoretical and empirical research from all areas of finance, banking, and insurance. The academic keynote speech will be held by Jean-Charles Rochet, Professor of Banking at the University of Zurich.

Guidelines for the submission of papers:

  • Submissions (PDF files, in English, completed work only) must be made via the online submission system (ConfTool); this will be possible from February 20, 2016, on.
  • Papers must not contain any reference to the names and affiliations of the authors. The first page of the paper should contain only the title, the abstract, and the JEL classification codes.
  • Papers must be accompanied by an abstract of no more than 120 words. The abstract has to be submitted within the ConfTool system.
  • NEW: There will be a poster session on Friday during lunchtime. When submitting your work, you can choose whether you would also be willing to present in the poster session. This will not influence the likelihood of getting accepted for a regular session. A poster session provides a great opportunity to discuss your work intensively with others. It can be helpful especially for future job market candidates. Members of a faculty that wants to hire can go to the poster session and talk to interesting young academics.
  • All submitted papers will be subject to a double-blind review process. The deadline for submissions is April 30, 2016 (midnight, CET).

Please visit www.dgf2016.uni-bonn.de for additional information, and www.conftool.net/dgf2016/ for registration and submission. We are looking forward to an interesting conference and to welcoming you in Bonn. In case of any questions, please contact us via dgf2016@uni-bonn.de.

Kind regards,

Tobias Berg, Narly Dwarkasing, Hendrik Hakenes, Klaus Sandmann, Isabel Schnabel
